BILL GREEN

1934 - 2009

William John Green passed away peacefully in Taber on Sunday, June 7, 2009 at the age of 74 years.
Bill was born November 18, 1934 in Calgary. He worked hard all his life and eventually lived his dream of ranching at Beaverlodge. After retiring from Alberta Agriculture in Vauxhall in 1990, Bill had planned to spend the remainder of his years at Beaverlodge but in 2004 decided to move to Taber to be closer to his family. He often said he had lived a good life and forty five years of sobriety helped to achieve the love, gratitude and serenity he showed everyday.
Bill is loved and remembered by his children Pat (Ken) Pauls of Taber and children Jason and Allison; Connie Green of Taber and her daughter Heather; Dan (Joyce) Green of Chestermere and daughters Jodi (T.J. Keil) and Jordan; Pam (Doug) Martens of Taber and their daughters Laurie (Brent) Untereiner (their children Kaitlyn and Evan), Jennifer (Chris) Bruce and Amber (Luke) Langlands (their daughter Tessa); Howard (Marg) Green of Taber and daughters Tracy (Doug Westerhoud) (son Landon), Amanda and Jayme; Riley Green (Taylor Vivier) of Taber. His sisters Doris, Maxine, Ella and Georgina will miss their precious “bud”. He is also survived by his brother Danny; four adopted children as well as numerous other relatives.
He was predeceased by his parents; grandchildren David Baksa and Lisa Baksa.
Relatives and friends are invited for Prayers at the Southland Funeral Chapel, 5006 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Thursday, June 11, 2009 at 5:00 P.M.
The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Augustine’s Catholic Church, 5009 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Friday, June 12, 2009 at 11:30 A.M. with Reverend Mariusz Sztuk SDS Celebrant. The Burial Service will be held at Mountain View Cemetery, 11 Street and Scenic Drive South, Lethbridge at 2:30 P.M.
