JB Genert

1978 - 2017

It is with deep sorrow that the family of JB Genert announce his passing in Taber on Sunday, July 2, 2017 at the age of 38 years.

The Funeral Service was held at Southland Funeral Chapel, 5006 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Saturday, July 8, 2017 at 2:00 P.M.

He is survived by three beautiful children Gwen, Jordan-Blair, Emily Genert and their mother Crystal Genert of Taber. He is also survived by his father Robert (Yulia) Genert and his mother Kelly Genert (Leo Bergevin) all of Lethbridge, his siblings Chris (Angela) Genert, Brandi (Bill) Peterson and brother in-law Dennis(Margaret) Lebeuf. JB was the best uncle to Lynkyn and Brityn Peterson, Alice and Thomas Genert and Hailey, Cohen and Kade Lebeuf. He will be fondly remembered by his Grandma Norma Genert with whom he had a very special bond with.

He was predeceased by his grandparents Alice and Donald Cook, Howard Genert and mother-in-law Onie Herron MacDougall.

JB was born and raised in Taber and loved spending time with his children and being silly while having a good time. He worked throughout Alberta and British Columbia on the drilling rigs and loved to fish.

Halloween was a special time for JB and family, always getting into creative costumes.

JB’s family was very important to him.
