They married in 1955 and raised five children. Ron built (with help from friends) their house on 52nd street, across from his parents’ house. He took care of his yard, hunted, did woodworking and spent time with his family. He retired from Empress Foods in 1993. Family was very important to Ron, and he was protective of the members of his family and proud of their accomplishments, particularly in their education. He was involved in helping organize the early Williams family reunions which occurred every few years in Taber. Ron was involved in the Catholic Church and was a member of the Holy Name Society and then joined the Knights of Columbus. He was an usher and an extraordinary Eucharistic Minister.
