Ruth Greeno
1915 - 2017
Catherine Ruth Greeno, beloved wife of the late Chester Greeno, went to be with her Lord and Savior in Taber on Monday, April 3, 2017 at the age of 102 years.
The Funeral Service was held at the New Life Church, 5120 - 47 Avenue, Taber on Friday, April 7, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. Burial followed at the Wrentham Cemetery at 4:30 P.M.
Ruth is survived by her daughter Sharon (Gordon) Meidinger of Medicine Hat, sons David (Judy) Greeno of Taber and Douglas (Margitta) Greeno of Taber (his sister Wilma (Morris) Hrabluik); five grandchildren Dale (Jill) Greeno, Kathy (Nolan) Day, James Sandon (Christine) Greeno, Chelsey (Jason) Hamel and Lacey Zaiser; twelve great grandchildren Brandon, Kendra, Graydon, Kimberly, Kaesey, Joshua, Trinity, Trace, Jordan, Jayleen, Kaitlin and Kenadie. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Annette Greeno and numerous nieces, nephews and their families.
She was predeceased by her husband Chester, son Dale Greeno, brothers and sister-in-law Wayne (Pontie) Ingram and Graydon Ingram.
Ruth was born in Taber on January 5, 1915, the only daughter of Anna and Arthur Ingram. She grew up on the farm in Wrentham with her brothers Wayne and Graydon. Ruth married Chester in 1942 and lived and worked with him on the family farm in Wrentham for the next fifty eight years. She moved to the Clearview Lodge in Taber in 2000 and spent fourteen years there followed by three in the Taber Continuing Care, making many new friends and enjoying life to the fullest. Ruth was devoted to her faith in Jesus, her family and many friends. She touched many lives with her kind, generous and loving heart.
