Marlene Pakarno
1939 - 2017
Stella Marlene Pakarno, beloved wife of Gil Pakarno, passed away in Taber on Sunday, March 19, 2017 at the age of 77 years.
A private burial service was held at the Enchant Cemetery prior to the funeral service. The Celebration of Marlene’s life was held at the Enchant Community Hall, 121 Center Street, Enchant on Friday, March 24, 2017 at 2:00 P.M.
Marlene was loved and will be greatly missed by Gilbert, her husband of fifty nine years, as well as her family and friends. She is survived by her children Shelly (Gordon) McCarville of Cornwall, Prince Edward Island, Sherry (Les) Johnson of Vauxhall, Barry (Marie) Pakarno of Brooks, Gail (Shawn) McConaghie of Champion; nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Marlene is also survived by her sister Joan (David) Snaith; brother Gerald (Beverly) Sivertson; brothers-in-law Erling Odland, Otto (Lillian) Pakarno and Arnold Gertzen; sisters-in-law Linda McAughey and Isabel Pakarno; step-brother Jerry (Shelley) Snaith and step-sister Marjorie Snaith as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents Mabel Snaith and Sivert Sivertson; step-father Gerald Snaith; sisters Betty Sivertson and Helen Odland; sisters- in-law Marie Gertzen and Antonia Jones; brothers-in-law Jerry Pakarno, Morley McAughey and Dan Jones.
Marlene was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Marlene’s wit and humour will certainly be missed by those who knew her.
