MARY FEHR
1913 - 2006
Gone to be with the Lord at the age of 92 years Mary Fehr, beloved wife of the late Cornelius Fehr, passed away peacefully at the St. Michael's Health Centre, Lethbridge on Tuesday, January 3, 2006.
Mary was born at McMahn, Saskatchewan on July 14, 1913 to Maria and Peter Olfert, the oldest daughter of a large family. She married Cornelius Fehr in 1933 and they resided in Saskatchewan until 1948 when they moved to Alberta.
Mary was creative and loved to share her gifts and talents. As a forty five year member of the Taber Evangelical Free Church Ladies Group, she made numerous quilts to support missions and special needs. She also shared her love of God and others by singing, with her friends, for shut-ins. She cultivated an intense personal relationship with the Lord and prayed faithfully for her family and friends. She loved Jesus and knew, when the time came, He would take her home.
Mary is survived by her children Mary Dyck of Lethbridge, Archie (Marge) Fehr of Lethbridge, Viola (Gerry) Bassendowski of Edmonton, Rose (Gilbert) Drynan, of Pinawa, Manitoba, Bill Theissen of Ponoka, Richard (Sharon) Fehr of Rimbey, Dianne (Ted) Buzunis of Fort Macleod; twenty nine grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. Mary was predeceased by her husband Cornelius, infant son Johnny, son Wilmer, daughter Linda, grandsons Cameron, Gordon and Robert and son-in-law Arnold Dyck.
The Funeral Service will be held at the Evangelical Free Church, 4418 - 52 Street, Taber on Friday, January 13, 2006 at 2:30 P.M. with Pastor Ron Gartly officiating. Interment to follow at the Taber Memorial Garden.
