Glen is survived by his daughter Lori (Arnie) Edstrom and their children Kayla (Jade) Nelson (their children Emma and Lyla), Ashley (Daylen) Welsh and Kyle Edstrom all of Taber; daughter-in-law Mavis Hallahan of Calgary and her children Clinton (Aleesha) Hallahan and Erin Hallahan all of Calgary. He is also survived by his sister Lillian Mohan of Eston, Saskatchewan as well as numerous nieces, nephews and many very close long time friends.

He was predeceased by his loving son Michael Hallahan, infant daughter, parents Hannah and Tom Hallahan; brothers James, Bob and Maurice; sisters Kathleen Storry and Eileen Petersen; sisters-in-law Elsie Hallahan and Melva Hallahan; brother-in-law Gordon Storry, Hans Petersen and Owen Mohan.

Glen was born on December 5, 1936 to Tom and Hannah Hallahan. He attended school in the Bisley, Saskatchewan area. From 1951 - 1956 Glen worked for the Plato Phone Company and Sask Wheat Pool. In 1956 he moved to British Columbia to work for CNR and married Verna Bales in 1957. Glen and Verna had two children, a son Michael in 1960 and daughter Lori in 1963. In 1961 they moved home to Saskatchewan and purchased the hotel in Richlea. Glen sold the hotel to his brother Jim in 1971 and Jim moved the hotel to Wiseton, Saskatchewan where it still remains in operation today. He continued to work alongside his brother until 1976 at which time he went to work for the Town of Wiseton. The hotel was eventually sold and in 1979, Glen joined his brother Jim working on the family farm in Plato where they spent many, many years together running the farm. During these years Glen's grandchildren visited and stayed frequently and he and Jim taught them about farming, how to drive, introduced them to coffee and Glen taught them how to play a mean game of Rummy.

In 2012, Glen moved to Taber, to be closer to his children and grandchildren. He quickly became the resident "Figure Skating Grandpa" and could be found picking up his great granddaughters from school and taking them to the rink for skating, tying their skates and filling them full of treats. Glen cherished spending time with his family. He made friends everywhere he went and had the gift of the gab. Glen would talk your ear off if you let him.  He lived a long, at times hard, full life, surrounded by family and friends.

If friends so desire, memorial tributes in Glen’s name may be made directly to the Dinsmore and District Health Foundation, Box 278 Dinsmore, Saskatchewan S0L 0T0.
