Harry Nelis

1925 - 2016

Harry Jan Nelis, beloved husband of the late Helena “Lena” Nelis of Hays, passed away peacefully in Taber on Sunday, July 31, 2016 at the age of 90 years.

 Relatives and friends were invited to Prayers at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 324 - 2 Avenue North, Vauxhall on Thursday, August 4, 2016 at 7:00 P.M.

 The Funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 324 - 2 Avenue North, Vauxhall on Friday, August 5, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. Burial followed at the Hays Cemetery. 

 Harry is survived by his five children Mary-Lou (Miles) Massing of Ponoka and their children Jill (Dallas) MacDougall, Mark and Craig; Jacques (Lis) Nelis of Lethbridge and their children Thomas (Christan), Anita (Wade) Schuler, Brian (Gina); Jules (Annette) Nelis of Hays; Linda (Richard) Huvenaars of Hays and their children Carl and Christina (Chris); Dominique (Michael) Hirsch of Medicine Hat and their children Katalena and Juliana. Harry is also survived by seven great grandchildren Carter, Janae, Austin, Sydney, Nolan, Gavin and Mackenzie.

 He was predeceased by his wife Helena (Lena) Nelis, parents Jacobus and Maria Ludovika Nelis and all his eight siblings.
