Alex Molnar

1930 - 2016

Alex Molnar, beloved husband of the late Anne Molnar, passed away in Lethbridge on Thursday, June 16, 2016 at the age of 85 years.

Relatives and friends were invited to Prayers at Southland Funeral Chapel, 5006 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Tuesday, June 21, 2016 at 6:00 P.M.

The Funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Augustine's Catholic Church, 5009 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Wednesday, June 22, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. Burial followed at the Barnwell Cemetery.

Alex is survived by his sons Louis (Sharon) Molnar of Lethbridge and their children Evan and Zoe; James (Jen) Molnar of Barnwell and their children Kyle and Julianne as well as his sister-in-law Elizabeth (Tom) Drysdale of Edinburgh, Scotland.

He was predeceased by his wife Anne, parents Louis and Margaret Molnar, brother Louis Molnar, sister Helen Panczak and brother-in-law John Panczak.

Alex was born July 5, 1930 in Raymond to Louis and Margaret Molnar. Alex's father purchased the family farm in Barnwell in 1940. He married Anne Richardson on March 30, 1970 and together they raised their sons on the family farm near Barnwell. In 1999, Alex and Anne moved to Lethbridge where he has resided until the time of his passing.
