Joe Meier

1944 - 2015

Joseph Meier, beloved husband of Shirley Meier, passed away in Lethbridge on Wednesday, August 26, 2015 at the age of 70 years.

The Funeral Service was held at the Hays Community Hall, Hays on Monday, August 31, 2015 at 2:00 P.M.

Besides his loving wife Shirley, Joe will be remembered by their three children Rick (Gloria) Meier of Hays and their family Whitney and Joel; Kelly (Brenda) Meier of Hays and their family Derek (Taylor) (their son Kayden), Devyn and Erin; Shelley (Terry) Mehlhaff of Hays and their family Alysha and Conrad. Joe will also be remembered by his siblings Caroline (Phillip) Bosch, Philip (Janet) Meier, John (Betty) Meier, Frank Meier, Veronica (Joe) Deck and by numerous nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents John and Genny Meier, sister Jane (Dennis) Andruschak, sister Barbara (Clem) Andreas and brother Adam Meier.

Joe was born in Leader, Saskatchewan on September 16, 1944. He and Shirley were married in taber and spent many happy years in Hays. Joe enjoyed playing many sports, farming, lease riding and driving school bus.
