Dan Laurie

1934 - 2015

On Wednesday, July 15, 2015, Charles Daniel Laurie of Edmonton, passed away peacefully with his family by his side at the age of 80 years.

Relatives and friends were invited to meet with the family in the Relief Society Room at the church prior to the funeral service on Tuesday, July 21, 2015 between 12:00 P.M. and 12:40 P.M.

The Funeral Service was held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Taber Stake Centre, 4709 - 50 Avenue, Taber on Tuesday, July 21, 2015 at 1:00 P.M. Burial followed at the Taber Memorial Garden.

Dan will be lovingly remembered by his wife of sixty one years, Pauline; children Larry (Gillian) Laurie of Spruce Grove, Denise Sawyer of Vernon, B.C., Danny (Mary) Laurie of Edmonton, Dennis Laurie of Edmonton, Sherry (Ken) Genest of Calgary, Jessie Laurie (Tim Hladik) of Calgary, Jim Laurie of Edmonton, Scott (Benny) Laurie of Edmonton; son-in-law Kevan Sawyer, daughters-in-law Tracey Laurie and Jassy Laurie; thirty three grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, sister Alice Saunders, sister-in-law Bev Laurie as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

He was predeceased by his parents James and Jessie Laurie, brothers Bill, George, Bob and Gordie Laurie; sisters Gertie Waddell, Jeanie Peterson and Marion Laurie; brothers-in-law Allard Waddell, Eddie Peterson and Gordon Saunders; sisters-in-law Nora, Arlie and Ruth Laurie.
