Terry Halverson

1949 - 2015

Terry Leroy Halverson, better known as “Gramps” or “Papa”, passed away in Taber on Thursday, June 25, 2015 at the age of 66 years.

Relatives and friends were invited to meet with the family at the Royal Canadian Legion (lower lounge), 5205 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Monday, June 29, 2015 between 3:00 P.M. and 5:00 P.M.

Besides Sherry, his loving wife of thirty three years, he is survived by his children Jodi Halverson of Calgary, Donna Weiss (Kevin Christensen) of Taber, Dale (Sandra) Halverson of Lethbridge, and Dean Weiss of Edmonton; grandchildren Danny (Aleah) Weiss, Curtis Weiss, Kassidy Halverson (Kevin Cole), Mariah VanBezooyen and Rikki Halverson; great grandchildren Lincoln, London and Jackson. Terry is also survived by his brothers Richard (Betty) Halverson and Wayne (Adele) Halverson; brother-in-law Wilf Pudwell and by numerous nieces and nephews.

Terry was predeceased by his parents Leonard and Bertha Halverson, his sister Carol Pudwell and his son Korri Halverson.

Terry was born and raised in Calgary. He moved to Taber in the early eighties where he met and married Sherry Weiss. Terry worked at various jobs but spent most of his working years in the oil patch, where he made many friends and acquaintances. Terry worked hard and played hard. In his later years, he loved to watch curling and wrestling and meet friends for coffee. His greatest joy was his grandchildren and great grandchildren; he never missed an opportunity to tease them or to tell them “I Love You”. Terry is loved and will be missed.
