1926 - 2015

Helen Cradduck, beloved wife of the late Wilbur Cradduck, passed away peacefully in Taber on Wednesday, May 13, 2015 at the age of 88 years.

A private burial service was held at the Taber Memorial Garden prior to the funeral service. 

The Funeral Service was held at Southland Funeral Chapel, 5006 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Saturday, May 16, 2015 at 2:00 P.M.

Helen was the loving mother of two sons Merv (Terry) Cradduck of Taber and Alvin Cradduck of Taber; proud grandmother to her only grandchild Michelle Cradduck. Also left to mourn her passing is her brother Isaac (Sally) Wiebe; sisters-in-law Tina, Katie, Susan and Anne Wiebe and Mary Peters as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband Wilbur in 1973, son Phillip in 1974; sisters Anne Peters and Tina Friesen; brothers Nick, Pete, Jake, John, George, Ben and Con Wiebe; sisters-in-law Suzie and Helen Wiebe and Lila Cradduck; brothers-in-law Herman Peters and Pete Friesen.

Helen was born in the McMahon district in southwestern Saskatchewan on December 29, 1926. She grew up during the depression and dustbowl era of the 1930’s. This would shape her life throughout her many years. As a young woman, Helen moved to the Taber area where she was employed as domestic help. She met Wilbur Cradduck and they were married in October 1952. The rest of her life was spent at home on the farm caring for her family, cooking, canning, baking and tending a large garden. Helen was a kind and devoted wife, mother and grandmother who will be dearly missed by her family.
