Steven Joseph Soltesz, beloved husband of Marija Soltesz, passed away in Taber on Friday, May 1, 2015 at the age of 68 years.
Relatives and friends were invited to Prayers at Southland Funeral Chapel, 5006 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Tuesday, May 5, 2015 at 5:00 P.M.
The Funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Augustine’s Catholic Church, 5009 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Wednesday, May 6, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. Burial followed at the Taber Memorial Garden.  
Steve will be forever Remembered and Loved by his wife of forty one years, Marija; son Mirko Bakaric (Danuta Stechliczek) of Medicine Hat and their children Kayla, Jerrett, Bart, Paulina, and Aldona; son Bob Soltesz of Medicine Hat and his children Joseph (his son Broady), Raynee and Cayden; daughter Juliana Driedger of Taber and her children Bradley, Justin and Eric; son Michael Soltesz (Tia Moreland) of Leduc and their children Donavon, Samantha, Joey and Jada. He is also survived by his nephew Ron (Diane) Fekete of Lethbridge and their children Cindy and Mike; and Niece Marlene.
He was predeceased by his parents Steve and Elizabeth Soltesz, brother Joseph Soltesz, sister Elizabeth Fekete, father and mother-in-law Mirko and Juliana Lovenjak.
Steve was born in Taber on June 12, 1946 to Steve and Elizabeth Soltesz. His journey was ended by his battle with cancer May 1, 2015. He grew up on the family farm and learned the principles of hard work and helping family, friends and neighbours whenever and wherever he could. He attended St Mary's High School before moving to Lethbridge to serve the City of Lethbridge, later returning to serve the Town of Taber and finishing off his career with twenty seven years at Well-Tech Oil and Gas. Steve enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He also enjoyed cooking, fishing, family drives and fixing things. Steve was a wonderful father, grandfather and great grandfather.
