KURT JENSEN

1970 - 2014

Lenny Kurt Jensen of Purple Springs, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, November 12, 2014 at the age of 44 years.
Relatives and friends were invited to Prayers at Southland Funeral Chapel, 5006 – 48 Avenue, Taber on Wednesday, November 19, 2014 at 7:00 P.M.
Kurt will be forever remembered and loved by his father and mother, Leonard Jensen of Taber and Shirley Jensen of Lethbridge; brother Craig (Tina) Jensen of Athabasca and their children Blair, Paige, Jasey, Jesse, Paden and Kai; sister Lisa (Kevin) Oleksyn of Taber and their children Jordan and Justin as well as his maternal grandmother, numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Kurt was born in Lethbridge on July 1, 1970 and resided with his family in the Purple Springs area for a number of years before moving to Athabasca in 1981 where he completed his schooling.
In 1987 Kurt and his parents moved back to the Purple Springs area where he worked a number of years with his uncles in construction, took a variety of other jobs and the last ten plus years he has worked at Lamb Weston.
Kurt enjoyed the outdoors, loved quadding, hunting and spending time with his numerous pets. He spent hours enjoying nature with his dogs, whether it be exploring the Old Man River area, the sand dunes or hunting with them; if he wasn’t home or at work, he was out enjoying the wide open spaces.
