RAMONA LEISMEISTER

1929 - 2014

Margaret Ramona Leismeister, beloved wife of Vince Leismeister, passed away in Lethbridge on Monday, August 4, 2014 at the age of 84 years.
Relatives and friends were invited to meet with the family at Southland Funeral Chapel, 5006 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Thursday, August 7, 2014 between 7:00 P.M. and 8:00 P.M.
The Funeral Service was held at Knox United Church, 4929 - 50 Avenue, Taber on Friday, August 8, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. with Reverend Mokwadi Paymann T'dere Basele, officiating. Burial followed at the Taber Memorial Garden.
Besides her loving husband Vince, she is survived by her children Judy (Stan) Gustum of Lethbridge, Collin (Marilyn) Leismeister of Taber, Richard (Jo) Marose of Fort Macleod, Gloria Gothard of Vernon, British Columbia, Philip (Karen) Marose of Red Deer, Marilyn Currie of Taber and Gerry (Mary) Marose of Lethbridge as well as numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Barb Turin and Juanita Ell; brothers Ed (Jackie) Sanderson and Ron Sanderson as well as by Vince’s numerous relatives.
She was predeceased by her children Ken Marose, Donna Buckley and Sandy Klinger; grandson Kyle Gustum; parents Albert and Esther Sanderson; brothers-in-law Dennis Turin and Alvin Ell.
Ramona was born August 28, 1929 in Taber to Albert and Esther Sanderson. In 1946 she married Wes Marose and together they had nine children. In 1969 Ramona met her beloved companion of forty five years, Vince Leismeister and in 2013 they were married. Ramona worked for twenty years as a cook at the Taber Hospital. She enjoyed baking, canning, sewing, making quilts and camping at Rattlesnake campground. Above all Ramona loved seeing her family and always made time for them. Ramona was a wonderful and loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She will be lovingly remembered and dearly missed.
