GEORGE MITCHLER
1955 - 2014
George Joseph Mitchler, beloved husband of Karen Mitchler, passed away in Lethbridge, surrounded by his loving family, on Monday, July 21, 2014 at the age of 59 years.
Those wishing to pay their respects met with the family at Southland Funeral Chapel, 5006 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Saturday, July 26, 2014 between 7:00 P.M. and 8:00 P.M.
Relatives and friends were invited to join the family for a reception at the Royal Canadian Legion (lower lounge), 5205 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Sunday, July 27, 2014 between 2:00 P.M. and 4:00 P.M.
Besides his loving wife Karen, George is survived by his daughters Angie (James) Tull of Bigfork, Montana; Alison (Dan) Wallen of Bigfork, Montana; Tayler Malm (Stephen Tabin) of Taber; six grandchildren Makayla, Jamie, Alyssa, Patrick, Andrew and Adyson. He is also survived by his mother Alyse Mitchler of El Paso, Texas; brothers Gary Mitchler and Tim Mitchler; sisters Theresa Demaree and Lisa (Gene) Brown; Godson Leonard Mitchler; father-in-law Clayton Malm; sister-in-law Sheila (Rick) Hellmer, brother-in-law Todd (Helen) Malm and by numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his father George Mitchler in October 2013, his mother-in-law Margaret Malm in December 2010 and by a brother-in-law George Demaree.
George was born in Taber on February 10, 1955. He worked as a contractor in the oil and gas industry for many years. He married Karen Malm in Las Vegas, Nevada on October 24, 2009. George was a true gentleman with a great sense of humour. He will be dearly missed by all who had the pleasure of meeting him.
