1918 - 2014

Hazel Louise Jensen, beloved wife of the late Weste Jensen, passed away peacefully in Taber on Monday, June 9, 2014 at the age of 96 years.
Relatives and friends were invited to meet with the family at Southland Funeral Chapel, 5006 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Sunday, June 15, 2014 between 3:00 P.M. and 4:00 P.M.
The Funeral Service was held at Knox United Church, 4929 - 50 Avenue, Taber on Monday, June 16, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. Burial followed at the Taber Memorial Garden.
Hazel is survived by her children Joan (Stephen) Forster of Prince George, British Columbia and Lorne (Geri) Jensen of Taber; grandchildren Darryl, Terry, Dennis, Tracey (Terry), Joyanne (Martin), Ian (Dee), Janice (Jerry) and Karmen (Gregg); great grandchildren Jason, Travis, Terilyn, Teresa, Alicia (Scott), Kristina, Megan, Rachael, Victoria, Felicity, Ava, Quinn, Gracie and two great great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband Weste Jensen, their son Weste Jensen Jr., daughter Audrey and son-in-law Joe Chadukiewich. She was also predeceased by her parents Clara and Joe Green, brothers Len Green, Earlen Green and sister Estella Green.
Hazel was born in Richdale, Alberta on March 1, 1918. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Hazel was a lifetime member of the Moose Association, and a member of the United Church including the Progressive Women’s Group.
Weste and Hazel enjoyed wintering at their home in Venice, Florida for many years. She enjoyed gardening, camping and singing in the Venice choir and entertaining family and friends.
