Lorraine was born May 13, 1930 in Cranbrook, British Columbia and was raised mainly in Fort Macleod. As a young adult she moved to Taber to work as a telephone operator where she met Norman at a community dance. She served in various callings as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, but her greatest calling, which brought her the most joy, was that of Wife, Mother, Grandmother and a Great one! Raising eight children on the farm kept her busy. Cooking and canning became a large part of her life and everyone loved to share the results of her labours. She loved spending time with family and loved visits from grandchildren. She was very proud of her family.
If friends so desire, memorial tributes in Lorraine’s name may be made directly to the Taber Food Bank, 5512 - 48 Avenue, Taber, Alberta T1G 1S4.
