Jesse leaves behind his two children, Sheila (Brent) Gibson of Taber and Fiona (David) Burdick of Washington DC; five precious grandchildren, Kirsti (Dwight) Forsyth, Jillian and Hayley Gibson and Scott and Regan Burdick. He is also survived by two sisters, Naida (Ken) Walton and Fay Gibson; two brothers Leonard (Alice) Harding, Don Harding and by numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his wife Mary, his parents Earl and Ruby and nine siblings.
Jesse was born in Taber on May 31, 1931, the youngest of fourteen children to Earl and Ruby Harding. He had many wonderful memories growing up; spending time hunting and fishing with his dad and brothers and being cared for by his sisters. Upon completing school, Jesse served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Australia. He met and later married his eternal companion, Mary Walters in 1960. They raised two daughters and had a very happy life. He retired from the Taber Sugar Factory after many years of service. Jesse’s loves in life included his family... especially his wife and grandkids. He had a love for travelling, airplanes, cars, funny emails and all kinds of war stories. He was a friend to all and had many good friends in return. Jesse touched many lives and will be fondly remembered by all who knew him.
