Brenda was born June 3, 1949 at 67 Bradshaw Street, Nelson, Lancashire, England. At the age of five, her family immigrated to Canada, settling in Taber. She graduated from W.R. Myers High School and attended Ricks College where she received a one year business certificate. Brenda then returned to Taber and was employed as a secretary at W.R. Myers High School which she thoroughly enjoyed.
Brenda was setup on a blind date with her future husband, George Henline. Within weeks, they were engaged. George and Brenda were married and sealed for time and all eternity on May 19,1979 in the Cardston Alberta Temple. She moved to the Henline Ranch in Aden and worked side by side with George. She drove tractor, combined, worked cattle, and kept the ranch books. Brenda and George were blessed with four children Peggy, James, Tim and Debbie. They are now blessed to have eight grandchildren and one soon to arrive. Brenda was involved in the community; Women's Institute, Rural Electric Association, 4-H, many history books, HAM radio operator and many other events. She supported her children in whatever activities they were involved; whether they were basketball games, 4-H events, piano lessons, church or school activities and more. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, was the Relief Society President for many years at the Foremost LDS Branch and later a member of the Coutts Ward.
The last two years of her life, Brenda lived in Magrath at the Diamond Willow Terrace Lodge where she met many more wonderful friends. She loved her family, friends, neighbours and her whole community. Brenda will be greatly missed by all, especially her eternal companion, George.
If friends so desire, memorial tributes in Brenda’s name may be made directly to the Diamond Willow Terrace Lodge, Box 580, Magrath, Alberta T0K 1J0.
