SIMONE WEISS

1949 - 2013

Simone Rosila Weiss, passed away in Calgary with her family by her side, on Monday, October 28, 2013 at the age of 64 years.
Relatives and friends were invited to Prayers at Southland Funeral Chapel, 5006 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Thursday, October 31, 2013 at 7:00 P.M.
The Funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Augustine’s Catholic Church, 5009 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Friday, November 1, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. with Reverend Vincent TuanHa, Celebrant. Burial followed at the Taber Memorial Garden.
Simone will be sadly missed by her children Miranda (Rob) MacGregor, Murray (Nadia) Weiss and Nicole (Ron) Hoytos all of Lethbridge and their father Randy Weiss of Taber; grandchildren Braxton and Taija Weiss, Leah Weiss and Jovan Hoytos. She is also survived by her siblings Vicki (Steve) Plettl of Calgary, Juanita Marthaller of Brooks, Elvena (Leonard) Kambeitz of Bow Island, Vince (Sandra) Marthaller of Taber, Lynn (Leona) Marthaller of Lethbridge, Garry (Gerri) Marthaller of Coaldale and by numerous nieces, nephews, friends and colleagues.
She was predeceased by her parents Simon and Betty Marthaller and her sister Doreen Bradley.
Simone was born in Taber on October 6, 1949 and spent all her life in Taber where she raised her three children. She will be remembered by her family and friends alike for her constant smile, friendly outgoing spirit and her awesome hugs. Her grandchildren brought so much joy to her life. Simone is well known for her beautiful voice and many years of service to the church, singing at Mass and numerous weddings over the years. She was very dedicated to her Catholic faith.
