LILLIAN LOVESTEAD
1925 - 2013
Lillian Margaret Lovestead of Calgary, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 17, 2013 at the age of 88 years.
Relatives and friends were invited to meet with the family at Mountain View Funeral Home, 17 Avenue SE at Garden Road, Calgary on Sunday, September 22, 2013 between 7:00 P.M. and 8:00 P.M.
The Funeral Service was held at Mountain View Funeral Home, 17 Avenue SE at Garden Road, Calgary on Monday, September 23, 2013 at 10:00 A.M. Burial followed at Mountain View Memorial Gardens, Calgary.
Lillian will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Susan Patton of Calgary and six sons, Lorne (Sandra) LeGrow of Stouffville, Ontario, Gordon (Shelley) LeGrow of London, Ontario, Paul (Jean) LeGrow of Regina, Saskatchewan, Dave (Susan) LeGrow of Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, Aaron (Deborah) LeGrow of St. Catharines, Ontario and Andrew (Kim) LeGrow of Cambridge, Ontario; seventeen grandchildren and twenty nine great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brothers Alex (Evelyn) McEwan of Hamilton, Ontario, Glen (Elsie) McEwan of Regina, Saskatchewan and by numerous nieces and nephews.
Lillian was born on March 19, 1925 in East York, Ontario. She was a war bride and was a Milliner (a maker of womens hats). She called Ontario home until she came to Calgary in 1991, residing at Westbourne Place for eighteen years.
Lillian loved to sew for herself and her seven children. She was a unique artist, who painted in oils and palette knife. Lillian loved to be involved in different activities and crafts. She had a flair for style. Lillian always dressed sharply. every day was an occasion to look her best!
Lillian had a strong faith in God. Her church and church family were always a very important part of her life.
