HAROLD TONGE

1943 - 2013

Harold George Tonge, passed away in Winnipeg, Manitoba on Tuesday, August 20, 2013 at the age of 70 years.
The Funeral Service was held at the Royal Canadian Legion, 217 - 5 Street North, Vauxhall on Thursday, August 29, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. with Reverend Alana Johnson officiating. Burial followed at the Vauxhall Cemetery.
Harold is survived by three sisters, Shirley (Joe) Tokai of Picture Butte, Sharon (Ben) Bell of Red Deer and Donna Coss of Calgary; brother Howard (Lana) Tonge of Ontario; brother-in-law John Kobal of Lethbridge; two uncles, Roy Peterson of Nanton and Lloyd (Agnes) Peterson of Calgary and by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was predeceased by his mother Tina Lowen, father Bert Tonge and stepfather Jake Lowen; grandparents Olaf and Elise Peterson; brothers Dale Tonge, Stewart Tonge, sister Joan Kobal and two nephews, John Kobal and Gary Tokai.
Harold was born in Taber on June 5, 1943. He was raised in the Vauxhall area and eventually moved to Winnipeg, Manitoba where he has spent the past forty years.
Harold loved taking out the boat to fish with his buddies. He enjoyed crossword puzzles and watching football and baseball. Harold will be sadly missed.
