BETTY UYESUGI

1915 - 2013

Betty Uyesugi, beloved wife of the late George Uyesugi, passed away in Taber on Friday, April 19, 2013 at the age of 97 years.
Relatives and friends were invited to meet with the family at the Southland Funeral Chapel, 5006 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Tuesday, April 23, 2013 between 7:00 P.M. and 8:00 P.M.
The Funeral Service was held at Knox United Church, 4929 - 50 Avenue, Taber on Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. with Pastor George Takashima officiating. Burial followed at the Taber Memorial Garden.
Betty is survived by her sons Doug (Hilda) Uyesugi of Leamington, Ontario, Ed (Louise) Uyesugi of Taber and Ken (Marie) Uyesugi of Lethbridge; eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband George Uyesugi; parents Toshi and Naka Matsumoto; sister Fumie Omotani; brother George Matsumoto; brother-in-law Kuma Omotani and sister-in-law Molly Matsumoto
Betty was born on July 5, 1915 at Acme Cannery, Edurne, British Columbia to Tanekiyo “Toshi” and Naka (nee Adachi) Matsumoto. She will be lovingly remembered by her family and friends.
