MAGGIE DENIS

1905 - 2005

Mrs. Magdelina (Uhrich) Denis of Taber, beloved wife of the late Mr. Joseph Denis, passed away on Friday, September 30, 2005 at the age of 100 years.
Maggie was born in Sedley, Saskatchewan on August 8, 1905.  She married Joseph Denis on February 18, 1924. They moved to Taber in 1941 where she resided until the time of her passing. On August 8, 2005, Maggie, along with her family and friends, celebrated her 100th birthday. This truly was a joyful occasion, as her life revolved around her family and friends. For the past ten years Maggie has been a resident of Clearview Lodge.
Maggie is survived by seven of her nine children: Josephine Graham of Calgary, Martha (Frank) Firkola of High River, William (Bonnie) of Spruce Grove, Frank (Julie) of Langley, B.C., James (Anne) of Richmond, B.C., Ben (Helen) of Squamish, B.C. and Tom (Pat) of Lacombe; numerous grandchildren and great great grandchildren and a sister Catherine Seitz of Vancouver.  
Besides her husband Joseph she was predeceased by a daughter and son-in-law Kay and Phil Dukart, son and daughter-in-law Adam and Mildred, daughter-in-law Ramona Denis and son-in-law Dave Graham.
Relatives and friends are invited for Prayers at Southland Funeral Chapel, 5006-48 Ave., Taber on Monday, October 3, 2005 at 7:00 P.M.  
The Funeral Mass will be Celebrated at St. Augustine's Catholic Church, 5009-48 Ave., Taber on Tuesday, October 4 at 10:00 A.M. with Reverend Mariusz Sztuk SDS Celebrant. Interment to follow in the Taber Memorial Garden.
