JENNIE DUNN
1916 - 2006
Eleanor Jane Dunn, beloved wife of the late Wesley Dunn, of Taber, passed away peacefully with her family at her side, at the Taber Hospital on Wednesday, June 14, 2006 at the age of 89 years.
Jennie was born in England July 20, 1916 and was the daughter of Robert & Esther Lord. She immigrated to Canada with her family as a child, settling in Southern Alberta, where she received her schooling in Grassy Lake. Jennie married Wesley Dunn on December 24, 1938. She was an active member of St. Theodore’s Anglican Church. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting and crafts. Jennie was predeceased by her husband Wes April 24, 1995. She moved to the Clearview Lodge in 1996 and for the past year has been in Continuing Care at the Taber Hospital.
Jennie is survived by her children Jim (Corinne) Dunn of Edmonton, Joan Hanson of Lethbridge, Robert (Donna) Dunn of Edmonton and by eight grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Florence Treber of Taber and her brother Bill (Joyce) Lord of Lethbridge.
She was predeceased by her parents Robert & Esther Lord, her husband Wesley Dunn, two sons-in-law Arnold Schmidt, Milt Hanson and by two sisters Doreen and her husband Stan Quaife, Esther and her husband James Archer and by her brother-in-law John Treber.
The Funeral Service will be held at St. Theodore’s Anglican Church, 5120 - 44 Avenue, Taber on Sunday, June 18, 2006 at 2:00 P.M. with Reverend Wil Stonehill officiating. Interment will follow at the Taber Memorial Garden.
