He was pursuing a career in welding, and was currently employed in the welding industry.
Michael was social, outgoing, down to earth and had great potential. He loved camping and hunting, had a vivid imagination and always had a crazy story to tell. Michael had a great sense of adventure and enjoyed rafting. He had finished three trips down the Oldman River this summer. He was looking forward to going on a trap-line with his father in Northern Alberta this coming winter. Michael enjoyed a variety of pets like snakes, lizards, degus, praying mantas, tarantulas, a coyote and his dog, Peso. Michael loved to draw and was patriotic. Michael joined Cadets in 1998 where he met a very special friend, Justin Jeffrey. From there the “Circle of Bros” had begun. He thought positively, loved life, and was an all around good-hearted person. He always had a smile, and when he walked into a room he brought joy with him. Michael was polite, caring, patient non-judgmental and had a true concern for people. Michael had a very soft heart which was always devoted to righting a wrong. Michael was loyal, well respected, and was always willing to help out his friends. Michael was easy to talk to, and everyone knew secrets were safe with him. Michael believed in God, and was searching for God’s guidance. Michael was becoming himself again, was happy, smiling, having a good time and came home to tell his family how much he loved them. Michael’s words were, “You can choose to be sad or choose to be glad. I choose to be glad.” Life is what you make of it.
“We love you Michael, and will miss you dearly. We know you are in a safe and peaceful place with God.”
