Evalyne was born in Barnwell on May 30, 1926, the daughter of James C. and Lyla Rose (nee Henderson) Grigor. She was raised on the family farm three miles northwest of Barnwell at Huckleberry. Evalyne had a deep love for her Heavenly Father and was a constant example to her children and posterity. Her faith lives on through the legacy she leaves them. She lived her life in service of others. This was apparent as she travelled with her husband Aaron and her family and served those she grew to love in Washington, California, Western Samoa, South Africa and Tonga. Evalyne was a wonderful homemaker, she loved making a beautiful home out of the many houses they lived in. She loved gardening and handwork including knitting, quilting and crocheting. She loved baking delicious treats for her family. She loved to travel and enjoyed going to the beach. She loved chocolate and enjoyed getting her hair done. Evalyne was a fan on the sidelines always cheering her loved ones on whether in sports or life. Her famous words to her children were... wait till your father gets home! She loved to play games, cards and socialize with her family and friends. She was very competitive. Evalyne has sadly missed her spouse Aaron and is now enjoying a wonderful reunion.
If friends so desire, memorial tributes in Evalyne’s name may be made directly to the Alzheimer Society for Lethbridge and Area, 402, 740 - 4 Avenue South, Lethbridge, Alberta T1J 0N9.
Our love and thanks go to the staff at the Taber Health Centre and to the ladies at the Clearview Lodge whom she loved dearly, for the countless hours of kind and caring service rendered to our mother & grandmother.
