Lillian was born May 6, 1920 in Steep Creek, Saskatchewan to John and Nellie McLennan. Having been orphaned at the age of five, Lillian was raised in a Catholic orphanage. This influenced her decision to become a nun at the age of eighteen, however the lure of the male persuasion caused her to change her mind. She worked at the Holy Family Hospital and T.B. Sanatorium in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan. She married Albert Dow in 1945. In 1954 they moved to Taber where she has resided until her passing. Lillian worked at the cannery and potato plant until her retirement at age sixty five. Some of her favorite things were her flower garden, word searches, solitaire, bingo and her cat Miles. In recent years Lillian enjoyed going out for chinese food and a cup of tea at Tim Horton’s.
