FLORA WUTZKE
1931 - 2012
Margaret Flora Wutzke (nee Walker) of Lethbridge, beloved wife of the late Fred “Fritz” Wutzke, passed away in Lethbridge on Sunday, February 5, 2012 at the age of 80 years after a two and a half year battle with cancer.
Relatives and friends are invited to meet with the family at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Lethbridge Stake Centre, 2410 - 28 Street South, Lethbridge on Thursday, February 9, 2012 between 7:00 P.M. and 8:00 P.M. and also at the church prior to the funeral service on Friday, February 10, 2012 between 12:00 P.M. and 12:40 P.M.
The Funeral Service will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Lethbridge Stake Centre, 2410 - 28 Street South, Lethbridge on Friday, February 10, 2012 at 1:00 P.M. Burial to follow at the Archmount Cemetery.
Flora is survived by her four children Terry (Alice) Wutzke of Santa Maria, California, Kelly (Terra) Wutzke of Burley, Idaho, Darren (Sue) Wutzke of Naperville, Illinois and Ruthanne Wutzke (Dave Fudge) of Calgary; ten grandchildren Casey (Mike) Spence, Aric (Brooke) Wutzke, Brett (Mellisa) Wutzke, Cammon (Nikki) Wutzke, Carid (Tristan) Wutzke, Cabra (Jeremy) Poulton, Lauren (Dan) Rupper, Jana and Nathan Wutzke and Hannah Coutts; three great grandchildren Treyden, Traxton and Naomi Wutzke. She is also survived by her sisters-in-law Florence Conway, Madeline Smith Wutzke and Jeannie Walker; brother-in-law Eldon Litchfield and her special long time friend Claudette Seward.
She was predeceased by her loving husband Fritz; grandson Alban E. Wutzke; great granddaughter Taylor Madison Wutzke; parents Thomas and Hilda Walker; sister Marie Litchfield; brothers Clifford, Floyd, Melvin and Robert; brothers-in-law John Wutzke and Albert Conway.
Flora was born in Lethbridge on March 14, 1931 and raised in Grassy Lake. She married Fritz Wutzke on October 7, 1952. Fritz and Flora farmed in the Skiff area until their retirement in 1985. In 1991 they moved into Parkbridge Estates in Lethbridge where they resided until their passing.
Flora was a devout member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Flora and Fritz served a mission for the LDS church in Las Vegas, Nevada in 1989. They later served in the Cardston, Alberta Temple for five years and both she and Fritz especially loved the seven years in which they provided weekly lunches to the Lethbridge College Institute students. Anyone who knew Flora quickly knew she was a fastidious housekeeper, baked the best cinnamon buns and was immensely proud of her family.
