Jim was born in Edmonton July 10, 1953. Growing up his family moved several times, living in Cynthia, Pincher Creek and several other communities before settling in Taber. He married Marion Gardner and started their family. He worked alongside his dad Cliff, operating Cliff & Claire’s Transport. This past April he moved to Fort McMurray where he worked for his son John’s company, Clean Harbors Industrial Services. Jim was well liked. He would often buy extra chicken at KFC just so the guys he worked with in Fort McMurray could enjoy lunch with him. He loved hunting, fishing and enjoyed playing Farmville and Mafia Wars on Facebook. Most of all, Jim loved his grandchildren and cherished the time spent with them.
If friends so desire, memorial tributes in Jim’s name may be made directly to the Canadian Diabetes Association, 204, 2323 - 32 Avenue NE, Calgary, Alberta T2E 6Z3.
