Cornelis Johannes Lodders, beloved husband of Corry Lodders, passed away in Bow Island on Saturday, November 5, 2011 at the age of 67 years.
Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers at St. Michael's Catholic Church, 1113 - 1 Street East, Bow Island on Tuesday, November 8, 2011 at 7:00 P.M.
The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Michael's Catholic Church, 1113 - 1 Street East, Bow Island on Wednesday, November 9, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. with Reverend Fred Monk Celebrant. Burial to follow at the Bow Island Cemetery.
Besides his loving wife Corry, Kelly is survived by their son Eric (Andrea) Lodders of Bow Island and their children Lauren, Payten and Raegen; two sisters Cor (Kees) Roelands of The Netherlands and Trienette van der Velden of Belgium; brother Frans (Corrie) Lodders of Belgium; sister-in-law Net Lodders of The Netherlands and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents Marinus and Petronella (nee Daems) Lodders, brother Jack Lodders and brother-in-law Rienus van der Velden.
Kelly was born October 14, 1944 in Zundert, The Netherlands. He married Corry on November 16, 1972. On September 24, 1982 they immigrated to Canada, settling in Bow Island where they have resided ever since.
Kelly spent his life working in carpentry and operated his own business for many years. He loved music and enjoyed playing the saxophone. Kelly had a deep faith and was active in St. Michael’s Catholic Church and always gave generously of his time and talents. Family was most important to Kelly and he cherished the time spent with his grandchildren.
