SHARON CAMPBELL
1936 - 2004
Mrs. Sylvia Sharon Campbell of Vauxhall, beloved wife of Mr. Eamon (Mike) Campbell, passed away in Taber on Friday, November 12, 2004 at the age of 68 years.
Sharon was born in Calgary on August 19, 1936, a daughter of Walter and Ruth Birney. She was raised in Midnapore where she received her schooling and on September 25, 1954 she married Eamon (Mike) Campbell. Since 1966 Sharon and Mike have resided in Vauxhall where Sharon was a long time employee of Vauxhall Foods. She was a faithful member of TOPS AB2924 Vauxhall where she was honored as the Canadian Queen in 1984 and also accepted an award in Hawaii. Sharon was devoted to her family and will be sadly missed.
Besides her loving husband Mike, she is survived by her three children Bonnie Manthorne of Taber, Theresa Bartz of Kelowna and Ed (Wanda) Campbell of Taber; seven grandchildren Robert (Angela) and Michael (Sandy) Manthorne, Amanda and Christopher Bartz, Brody, Paige and Brock Campbell; two great grandsons Levi and Aidan; brothers and sisters Leona Hogge of Calgary, Georgina Cranstone of Calgary, Jean (Bert) Tucker of Elnora, Alberta, Dorothy Rosentroter of Langdon, Alberta, Gloria (Rod) Duncalfe of Medicine Hat, Judy (Doug) Stewart of Vancouver, Fred (Helen) Birney of Bowden, Glen (Darlene) Birney of Innisfail and Gordon (Leslie) Birney of Fort Wayne, Indiana; a brother-in-law Don Fraser of Calgary and also by numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her daughter Ruth Laverne Campbell, aunt Myrtle Shaw, sister Donna and brothers-in-law Gernot Rosentroter and Frank Cranstone.
Relatives and friends are invited to meet with the family at the Southland Funeral Chapel, 5006-48 Ave., Taber on Tuesday, November 16, 2004 from 7:00 to 8:00 P.M.
The Funeral Service will be held at the Vauxhall Mennonite Brethren Church, 320-9 Street North, on Wednesday, November 17, 2004 at 2:00 P.M. with Pastor Janice McCloskey officiating. Interment to follow in the Vauxhall Cemetery.
