GORDON BLAKE

1916 - 2001

Gordon Blake,beloved husband of the late Marjorie Blake, passed away in Coaldale on Sunday, May 20, 2001 at the age of 85 years.
Gordon recently moved from his residence in Coaldale to the Sunny South Lodge. He farmed most of his life in the Retlaw/Enchant area and was a close friend and helper to everyone who came to know him.
Gordon will be sadly missed by his step-children, Vivian Stevenson, Ethel Dunn and Harold (Jeannine) Lewis; as well as his sister and brother-in-law Marjorie (Bill) Bailey of Vauxhall. He also kept in close contact with his many nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Gordon was predeceased by his wife Marjorie on February 22, 1995. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him.
The Funeral Service was held at the Coaldale United Church, 2022 - 18 Street, Coaldale on Monday, May 28, 2001 at 2:00 P.M. with Reverend Arij Langstraat officiating. Interment took place at the Taber Memorial Garden on Tuesday, May 29, 2001 at 10:00 A.M.
