JOHN HOLST

1897 - 1999

John Holst of Taber, passed away on Wednesday, December 29, 1999 at the age of 102 years.
John is survived by his sons Walter, Lawrence and Martin (Myrna) Holst and his daughter Clara (Bill) Wowniar; brothers August and Willie Holst; a son-in-law Albert Glas as well as numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family and friends.
John was predeceased by his wife Emma in 1948; a son Leo in 1979; his seond wife Ella in 1981; a son Joseph in 1997; a daughter Martha in 1999; his parents John and Anna Holst; sisters Annie, Marie, and Elizabeth, as well as his brothers Jack and Peter.
Relatives and friends were invited for Prayers at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 324 - 2 Avenue North, Vauxhall, on Sunday, January 2, 2000 at 7:00 P.M.
The Funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 324 - 2 Avenue North, Vauxhall on Monday, January 3, 2000 at 10:30 A.M. with Reverend Jozef Perehubka Celebrant. Interment followed at the Vauxhall Cemetery.
