LUBBERT BOUWMAN
1905 - 2001
The Lord in his infinite wisdom on May 3, 2001 took to himself our father, grandfather, great-grandfather and great-great-grandfather Lubbert Bouwman at the age of 96 years.
He was born on January 11, 1905 in The Netherlands the son of Berend and Tryntje Bouwman. In 1953, he immigrated to Canada where he remained until the time of his passing.
Lubbert leaves his children to mourn, Ben (Joan) of Vauxhall, Ann (John) Niewenhuis of Lethbridge, Rudy (Nancy) of Calgary, Ted (Henny) of Lethbridge, Harm (Claudette) of Winnipeg, Akke (Menno) Klunder of Sexsmith, Uilke (Wynne) of Coaldale and Jake (Dori) of Dawson Creek, British Columbia; thirty six grandchildren, seventy six great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; two brothers and three sisters of Holland.
H e was predeceased by his wife of nearly 60 years, Uilkje, in 1988 and one grandchild in 1963.
Relatives and friends were invited to meet with the family at the Southland Funeral Chapel, 5006 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Monday, May 7, 2001 from 8:30 P.M. to 9:30 P.M.
The Interment Service was held at the Taber Memorial Garden on Tuesday, May 8, 2001 at 11:00 A.M.
The Funeral Service was held at the Trinity Reformed Church, 1100 - 40 Avenue, Lethbridge on Tuesday, May 8, 2001 at 1:00 P.M. with Reverend John Barach officiating.
