BRENDA BISHOP
1948 - 1999
Brenda Bishop, beloved wife of John Bishop of Coaldale, passed away in Lethbridge on Monday, October 4, 1999 at the age of 51 years.
Brenda was born in Taber on September 21, 1948 the daughter of Paul and Winogene Luehr. She graduated high school at W.R. Myers in Taber and later attended the University of Lethbridge graduating with a B.A. degree. Brenda moved to Red Deer where she worked at the Michener Centre. She returned to Southern Alberta residing in Lethbridge. In 1984, she married John Bishop of New Zealand, where the couple also resided for three years. For the past twelve years they have resided in Coaldale. Brenda was a caring person by nature and cared deeply for the well being of her cats and animals in general. She was a volunteer with the Lethbridge & District Humane Society and will be sadly missed by her colleagues and family and friends.
Besides her loving husband John, Brenda leaves to cherish her memory, her parents Paul and Winogene Luehr of Taber and her brother Randy (Anne) Luehr and their children Cindy and Brett of Taber and a sister Cheryl (Pete) Andres and their children Nicole and Matthew of Taber as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. She is also survived by her father and mother-in-law John and Betty Bishop; three sisters-in-law Doreen, Jennifer and Karen; and a brother-in-law Robert (Julie) all of New Zealand.
The Funeral Service was held at the Evangelical Free Church, 4418 - 52 Street, Taber on Thursday, October 7, 1999 at 1:00 P.M. with Pastor Ron Gartly officiating. Interment followed at the Taber Memorial Garden.
