JENNIE HARDING
1908 - 1999
Jennie V. Harding (nee Johnson), beloved wife of the late William John Harding, passed away in Magrath on Wednesday, September 15, 1999 at the age of 91 years.
Jennie was born on July 7, 1908 in Taber to Frank Milton Johnson and Rose Hannah Francis. Her childhood years were spent in Mapleton, Utah until first her mother and then a few years later her father passed away. At a young age she came to Canada to live with relatives. She married William John Harding on April 26, 1933 in the Cardston Temple.
Jennie was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many capacities. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother who loved people and had a smile for everyone.
She is survived by her six children Blaine (Martha) Harding of Grassy Lake, Joan (George) Taylor of Magrath, Glenn (Loyia) Harding of Taber, David (Gail) Harding of Raymond, Keith (Kathleen) Harding of Spruce Grove and Brenda (Jerry) Peoples of High River; thirty six grandchildren and forty nine great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband William who passed away in January of 1982, a son James, brother Frank Leo Johnson and sister Myrle Boren.
Relatives and friends were invited to meet with the family in the Relief Society Room at the church prior to the funeral service on Saturday, September 18, 1999 from 9:30 A.M. to 10:45 A.M.
The Funeral Service was held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Taber Stake Centre, 4709 - 50 Avenue, Taber on Saturday, September 18, 12999 at 11:00 A.M. with Bishop Larry Taylor conducting. Interment followed at the Taber Memorial Garden.
