EDNA DAVIS
1912 - 2002
Edna Elizabeth Davis, beloved wife of the late Earl Davis, passed away in Taber on Saturday, May 11, 2002 at the age of 89 years.
Edna was born at Saskatoon, Saskatchewan on September 9, 1912 and married Earl Davis in 1942. She managed the Sears Order Office in Vauxhall for nineteen years. She was always busy with her church music, being an ambulance attendant, the Senior Citizens and other community activities.
Edna will be forever remembered by her children Lyle (Valerie) Davis, Wendy (Randy) Craig, Donna (Marvin) Blaney and Anne (John) Harding; sister-in-law Joan (Lucien) Claeys; grandchildren Kevin (Chrissy), Rhonda, Grayson, Jacqueline, Tracy (Sean), Koreen, Jody (Darren), Jason (Amie), Jeff (Nadine), Karen and Cathy; great grandchildren Logan, Erin, Teghan, Kyle, Laura and Tracey; nieces and nephews on the Sakatch side Brenda, Jean, Pat, Michael and their families and on the Claey’s side Lynn, Connie, Cheryl, Nancy, Randy and their families.
Edna was predeceased by her husband Earl Davis, father Frank Darinis, infant brother Clarence, mother Mabel Martin, step-father Wes Martin, father-in-law Sam Davis, mother-in-law Hilda Davis, sister Doris Sakatch and brother-in-law Frank Sakatch.
The Funeral Service was held at the Vauxhall Mennonite Brethren Church, 320 - 9 Street North, Vauxhall on Thursday, May 16, 2002 at 2:00 P.M. with Reverend Aldeen McKay, United Curch of Canada, officiating. Interment followed at the Vauxhall Cemetery.
Thank you to the staff at Clearview Lodge for the care given to Mom while she resided there. We thank the staff at Continuing Care for all of their tender love and care shown to Mom and the thoughtfulnes to her family at the time of her passing.
