HAROLD COLLETT

1930 - 2008

Harold (Hank) Morgan Collett of Taber, beloved husband of Daisy Louise Collett, passed away peacefully on Thursday July 24, 2008 at the age of 78 years.
Besides Daisy, his loving wife of 58 years, Harold is survived by his children Pat (Cliff) Gough of Great Falls, Montana, Judy (Brian) Horrocks of Taber, Dale (Judy) Collett of Taber, Delbert Collett of Lethbridge, Dwayne (Linda) Collett of Taber and Sherry Collett of Taber. Harold will be sadly missed by his sixteen grandchildren Scott, Beckie, Chad, Stacey, Mark, Tyler, Erin, Dana, Michele, Crystal, Chelsea, Cassandra, Jessie, Dillon, Devin and Amber as well as twenty five great grandchildren. He will also be missed by his two sisters Vivian Rombough and Eileen Collett; brother Bobby Collett.
He was predeceased by his parents Morgan and Pheobe Collett; father and mother-in-law Ed and Ella Shockey; sister-in-law Barb Collett; brothers-in-law Archie Rombough, Lum Shockey and Roy Shockey.
Harold was born in Taber on March 22, 1930. He attended school at the Fincastle County School. It was here while he attended Fincastle School that he met Daisy Shockey. They were married in 1949. Harold farmed most of his life but also rode lease for the Fincastle Grazing Association. Later he owned Collett’s Livestock Trucking and Hank’s Oilfield Service. His love of horses and rodeo’s will be forever remembered.
Relatives and friends are invited to meet with the family at the Southland Funeral Chapel, 5006 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Monday, July 28, 2008 from 7:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M.
The Funeral Service will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Taber Stake Centre, 4709 - 50 Avenue, Taber on Tuesday, July 29, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. Burial to follow at the Taber Memorial Garden.
