JOE KRENN

1920 - 1999

Joseph Krenn, beloved husband of Mary Krenn of Taber, passed away on Monday, June 14, 1999 at the age of 78 years.
Joe was born in Yugoslavia on October 3, 1920. He received his schooling in Yugoslavia and served in the German Army. He later married Mary Stillinger in Austria on October 4, 1947. In 1954 Joe and Mary immigrated to Canada settling in the Barnwell area. They purchased a farm in 1960 and later moved to the Town of Taber in 1988. Joe enjoyed bowling and loved being on the farm but his real passion was for his grandchildren and family who will miss him dearly.
Besides his wife Mary, Joe will be lovingly remembered by his daughters Mary Krenn of Taber, Rose (Ron) Remfert of Taber, Annie (Stewart) Laing of Hanna and Eva (John) Bell of Taber; one sister in Austria and his grandchildren Jason (Carol) Astalos and his only great grandson Justin, Jeremey Astalos and his fiance Lisa Smith, Shelley Astalos, Daniel Remfert, Ashley Remfert Sarah Remfert, Megan Laing, Stephanie Laing, Dustin Bell, Jared Bell, and Kristen Bell.
Joe was predeceased by a son Ernest.
Relatives and friends were invited to Prayers at the Southland Funeral Chapel, 5006 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Thursday, June 17, 1999 at 7:30 P.M.
The Funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Augustine’s Catholic Church, 5009 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Friday, June 18 at 10:30 A.M. with Reverend Jim de los Angeles Celebrant. Interment followed at the Taber Memorial Garden.
