CAMELIA DAVIES

1920 - 2002

Camelia “Camille” Raymonde Davies, beloved wife of the late Frederick Davies, passed away at the Taber Hospital, with her family at her side, on Tuesday, April 2, 2002 at the age of 82 years.
Camille was born on January 1, 1920 in LaTuque, Quebec. She married Fred Davies on December 13, 1941 and then moved to Montreal. Camille loved to cook for her family and always made sure there was enough to share with others. She made good use of her sewing machine as she was a very good seamstress. In her youth she was an avid bowler and won many trophies. Her true passion was travelling. In August of 2001, she took her last trip to Glacier National Park. It thrilled her to be able to look at the scenery and wildlife that Glacier National Park and Logans Pass has to offer. The snow covered mountains were her favorite memories of her trip.
Camille will be forever remembered by her daughters, Brenda (Ray) Pilon and their children Mark - (Emma and Brodie), Dennis (Sherri) - (Tanner and Kaitlyn) and Chris (Kim) - (McKenzie and Abigail); Sybil Davies and her children Carrie - (Addison and Austin) and Tammy; and Ann (Dale) Redfern and their children Warren (Tey-na) - (Zac) and Andrea (Shawn) McLeod - (Lauren); a brother, Roger Gagnon of Montreal as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents, Imelda and Joseph Gagnon as well as brothers and sisters.
The Funeral Service was held on Friday, April 12, 2002 at the Southland Funeral Chapel, 5006 - 48 Avenue, Taber at 11:00 A.M. with Deacon Mike Whalen officiating.
