1993 - 2009

Jessica Alexandra Cook, beloved daughter of Jody Cook and Mike Cook, passed away in Taber on Thursday, January 1, 2009 at the age of 15 years.
Besides her loving parents Jody and Mike, she is survived by her siblings Jordan and Mitchell Cook of Taber; grandfather Elmer Cook (Gwen DePlancke) of Vauxhall; great grandmother Jessie Dunsmore of Innisfail; uncles John (Sandra) Parry of Charlottetown, P.E.I. and Jack (Lonni) Parry of Denmark; aunts Shelah (Matt) Medak of Innisfail and Kelli Cook (Dale) of Taber; great aunts Florence (Don) Wonnacott and Lois Norton of Charlottetown, P.E.I. as well as numerous other relatives.
Jessica was predeceased by her grandparents Jean Parry (nee MacLean), Julie Parry (nee Kerkhoff), Phil Parry and Sandra Cook (nee Dunsmore).
Jessica will be remembered for her kind and caring personality. She was independent and had a unique sense of humour. Jessica enjoyed movies, music, camping and food, especially pizza. Those that had the pleasure of knowing Jessica will also remember the “love taps” she liked to give. Jessica touched the lives of everyone that knew her. She will be especially missed by her brother and sister with whom she shared a kind, special relationship. Jessica will be lovingly remembered by her family and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to meet with the family at the Southland Funeral Chapel, 5006 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Tuesday, January 6, 2009 from 7:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M.
The Funeral Service will be held at Knox United Church, 4929 - 50 Avenue, Taber on Wednesday, January 7, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. with Reverend Frank Lewis officiating. Burial to follow at the Taber Memorial Garden.
If friends so desire, memorial tributes in Jessica’s name may be made directly to the Autism Society of Alberta, c/o Suite 403, 609 – 14 Street N.W., Calgary, Alberta T2N 2A1 or to the Canadian Down Syndrome Society, 811 - 14 Street N.W., Calgary, Alberta T2N 2A4.
The family would like to thank the many teachers, helpers and friends for their many acts of kindness shown to Jessica. They would also like to express their sincere gratitude to the students at D.A. Ferguson and W.R. Myers.
