ATTILIO BEMBI

1912 - 2002

Attilio Zanone Bembi, beloved husband of Albina Bembi of Taber, passed away peacefully with his children at his side at the Taber Hospital on Thursday, February 28, 2002 at the age of 90 years.
Attilio is survived by his wife Albina, two daughters Argia Funa and her two sons Dragan (Esther) and their children Laura and Nicki, Boyan (Sonja) and their son Jan all of Slovenia; Ines (Carl) Hajek of Taber and their daughters Cindy (Lloyd) VanGheluwe of High River and Cindy’s daughter Indeanna, Heide (Brian) Carriere and their children Reno and Justice; and one son Ferruccio (Louie) Bembi (Jean) of Taber and their daughter Angela (Patrick) Machacek of Lethbridge and their children Peyton and Hannah; sisters-in-law Valeria Bembi of Mugia, Italy and Danica Bembi of Trieste, Italy, as well as a number of nieces and nephews also from Italy.
He was predeceased by his father and mother Zanone and Maria, brothers Virgilio, Silvano (Anita) and Ettore, an infant sister Argia and son-in-law Stanko Funa.
Attilio was born in Topolo, Italy on February 1, 1912. He immigrated to Canada in 1957 and settled in the Taber area.
Relatives and friends were invited for a Prayer Service at the Southland Funeral Chapel, 5006 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Monday, March 4, 2002 at 7:00 P.M.
The Funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Augustine’s Catholic Church, 5009 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Tuesday, March 5, 2002 at 10:30 A.M. with Reverend father Jim de los Angeles Celebrant. Interment followed in the Taber Memorial Garden.
