MARJORIE BIGELOW
1940 - 1999
Marjorie Bigelow, beloved wife of Albert Bigelow of Taber, passed away in Lethbridge on Tuesday, April 27, 1999 at the age of 59 years.
Marjorie was born in Empress on April 16, 1940, the daughter of Louis and Katherine Niwa. She received her schooling in Empress and in Medicine Hat. Following her high school graduation she attended the St. Michael’s School of Nursing in Lethbridge. After completing nursing school, she began her career in Oyen for a short time and for the past thirty six years she has worked at the Taber Hospital.
Besides her husband Albert, Marjorie leaves to cherish her memory a daughter Cheryl (Ken) Wickens and their children Lachele and Kayla of Taber; her sisters Isabel (George) Doupe of Oyen, Kathy (Bill) Borgen of Vancouver; two brothers Bert Niwa of Acadia Valley and Dale (Lucienn) Niwa of Parksville, British Columbia; sisters-in-law Bev Niwa of Acadia Valley, Polly Niwa of Lethbridge, Rachel Bigelow and June Larson both of Taber; a brother-in-law Don Bigelow as well as numerous nieces and Nephews.
Marjorie was predeceased by her parents Louis and Katherine Niwa, two brothers Jim and Jerry, a brother-in-law Cy Bigelow, her mother and father-in-law Daisy and Murrell Bigelow.
The Funeral Service was held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 5324 - 54 Street, Taber on Friday, April 30, 1999 at 2:00 P.M. with Bishop Richard Sugden conducting. Interment followed at the Taber Memorial Garden.
