KATHLEEN ALLEN

1907 - 2003

Kathleen Allen, beloved wife of the late Frank Allen, passed away on Thursday, December 18, 2003 at the age of 96 years.
Kathleen was born in England on April 10, 1907. She married Frank Allen on January 18, 1933. They farmed in Ontario for a number of years moving to Taber in 1980. Frank predeceased her on January 16, 1984. She was an active member and staunch supporter of St. Theodore’s Anglican Church. She always supported her grandchildren in their efforts with 4H and had a genuine interest in the farm operation of her son Doug and wife Joyce. In her spare time Kathleen enjoyed flowers and gardening.
Kathleen is survived by her two sons Doug (Joyce) Allen of Taber and Gerald (Diana) Allen of England; son-in-law Robert Dowding of Largo, Florida; eleven grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband Frank, daughter Judy Dowding and also by nine sisters and brothers.
Relatives and friends were invited to meet with the family at the Southland Funeral Chapel, 5006 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Sunday, December 21, 2003 from 1:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M.
The Funeral Service was held at St. Theodore’s Anglican Church, 5120 - 44 Avenue, Taber on Monday, December 22, 2003 at 1:00 P.M. with Reverend Michael Tipper officiating. Interment followed in the Taber Memorial Garden.
