IRENE BIRCH

1913 - 2003

Irene Wilma (Nyman) Birch, beloved wife of the late Mark Franklin Birch, passed away at the Taber Hospital on Saturday, September 27, 2003 at the age of 89 years.
She was born in Oroville, Washington on December 17, 1913, the eldest child of seven born to William and Emily Nyman. Irene leaves to cherish her memory her children and their families, Carolee (Roy) Haynes of Taber, Gayle (Allan) Pearson of Edmonton, Cheryil (Brian) Schmelzer of Eckville, Mark (Connie) Birch of Grassy Lake and Bruce Birch of Taber and a brother Ken Nyman of Rossland, British Columbia. She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren.
Irene was predeceased by her parents, sisters Cleo and Mildred and three brothers Leonard, Gib and Clyde, husband Mark and one granddaughter Terri Lynn.
Immediate family members gathered at the Southland Funeral Chapel to pay their respects and reflect on their memories of Irene as a mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
