HENRY MULNER

1915 - 2003

Henry Mulner, beloved husband of the late Jean Mulner, passed away in Taber on Sunday, April 6, 2003 at the age of 87 years.
Henry was born in Punchy, Saskatchewan on November 27, 1915, a son born to Louis and Elizabeth Mulner. On April 17, 1940 he married Jean Kinniburgh. Jean passed away just three days before celebrating their 61st anniversary. Henry operated a grader for the M.D. of Taber for a few years before farming caught his interest. He began his farming career with uncle Hughie Kinniburgh then went to farm with George Rutherford who was also Jean’s stepfather. In 1950 he started farming his and Jean’s own land but remained working closely with his family. Henry took a step back from farming in 1976 so that he could take care of Jean, when her health began to fail. In his younger years he was known for his talent as a hockey player. He played for the Great Falls Selects and enjoyed many successful seasons with that team. Henry also enjoyed fishing, curling and in later years he developed an interest in golf.
Henry will be forever remembered by his children, a son David (Jane) Mulner of Purple Springs and their family Kelly and Alex Ann; a daughter Shirley (Frank) Doram of Coaldale and their family Todd, Carey (Pierre) and Stacey (Mike) - Chantelle, Taeler, Cole and Bailey; a daughter Patti (Mel) Peterson of Taber and their family Brett and Jenna; a brother, Bill Mulner and a sister, Anne Harris as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Besides his wife Jean, Henry was predeceased by a grandson, Darren; a brother, Gordon and a sister, Velma.
