JOHN GIBSON

1926 - 2003

John Gibson, loving husband of Irma Gibson of Foremost, passed away at the Bow Island Health Centre on Monday, March 31, 2003 at the age of 76 years.
John was born on October 2, 1926 at Milk River, Alberta, a son born to James and Gladys Gibson. He married Irma Nottelmann in Lethbridge in 1957 and they worked for various farmers in the Milk River area. In 1962 they moved to Foremost to work for Art Frankish on his farm. John began working for the County of 40 Mile in 1971, retiring in the early 1990’s. John’s passion was the land and farming and always admired the flowers that Irma would grow.
Besides his loving wife Irma, he is survived by a daughter Judy (Norbert) Vornbrock; a son Robert Gibson; six grandchildren; six sisters; two brothers and numerous nieces and nephews.
John was predeceased by his parents, two brothers and one sister.
The Funeral Service was held at the Southland Funeral Chapel, 5006 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Thursday, April 3, 2003 at 2:00 P.M. with Reverend Jim Lochhead officiating.
